Rabbi Menashe Bovit is an advocate of what he calls “Joyous Judaism.” The son of a Holocaust survivor, he has been active in organized Jewish life since his college days and has served in a number of communities as a congregational and community rabbi for over 18 years. He was personally ordained as a rabbi by his mentor the renowned Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach of blessed memory and is a graduate of the Ohr LaGolah Institute in Jerusalem, Israel. Rabbi Bovit is also a Jewish folk singer, musician, artist, family mediator, and pastoral counselor. Reb Menashe and his wife Rivka plan to share in and enhance the warm, welcoming, spiritual environment at the Bellerose Jewish Center.
