On Sunday, February 1, 2009, the Big Apple Region of BBYO, the BJC, and the
Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council (NEQJCC) hosted the World Wide Wrap at
the BJC. This annual event of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs was the second time
the Wrap was held at the BJC. The program included films and talks about tefillin, a tefillin
workshop, a prayer service, and a breakfast sponsored by the Samuel Field Y and
NEQJCC. Over 40 people attended this successful community event, with more than half
wrapping tefillin, some for the very first time! Thank you to all those who participated and
to those who helped teach wrapping tefillin to others.
